Work - Spring 2008
I keep wanting to post an entry about my day so far, but I keep stopping myself thinking that it will be a better entry if I wait until I at least get done for the day. So instead, I've opted on seperating the two different things. There's a new semester of work and a new semester of classes. Right now, we're focusing on the new semester of work. I'll get to the class thing sometime after 8PM.
So I got here and after catching up with Robin, I went got myself some food because I was starving. It's so interesting though because I've actually been excited to come back to work. I love working around these people and we've even got a new work-study student. She's about to graduate which is awesome and she's really sociable and nice. What's even better though is that she actually wants to be here.
See, since I've been here, we've had 3 different work-study students, not counting myself. There was my friend who quit after not making enough money, then there was another one who didn't work out at all and now there's this one. The difference between this one and the last is that she's been coming to our events and asking us questions and has been trying to get in. She also is seasoned enough in college to know how to conduct herself so I'm sure we won't be getting any half-assed work that Robin, myself, or Dr. Meyers will have to go back and redo or correct.
So, she gains an A+ in my book just for that. The only down side is that we'll be sharing a work space and while most of the time we won't overlap very long, it will still be annoying because things will move around and I'm sure she thinks the same thing. Plus, Robin's already told her that I get computer dibs because of seniority. So that's got to suck. But it will all work out. This is going to be the only semester she's here I think so it's all good.
So now that I have gotten that urge to blog out of the way, I will continue to stare aimlessly out of the window.
