Bookworm: June

Jul 12, 2006 00:26

Very late in its coming, very sad in its shortness.  However, this being the midpoint in the year, it makes me wonder exactly what the final count at the end of the year will be.  Since I started this in February and give or take a few slow months (like this one), I might end up with an average of 60 books per year read.  This is hella impressive, if I may say so.  That's my goal.  June:

Purchased/Obtained:
Douglas Copeland:  Hey Nostradamus!

BPL:
Jonathan Ames:  I Love You More Than You Know
Jonathan Safran Foer:  Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
Douglas Copeland:  Eleanor Rigby
Jared Diamond:  Collapse

Borrowed:
Don DeLillo: White Noise
Robert Putnam: Bowling Alone

Owned:
Jack Kerouac: The Dharma Bums
Jonathan Franzen: The Corrections

Completed: Ames, Foer
Still Reading: Copeland (HN), Diamond, DeLillo, Putnam
Abandoned:  Copeland (ER), Kerouac, Franzen

Total books read for June: 2  (ugh!)
Total books read last month: 9
Total books read for the project: 30
