Beer Festival

I had an awesome weekend.
It was my birthday, and we went to the North Newton Beer Festival down where Raun's parents live.
fatkraken was talked into doing a yard of ale, only not liking beer she did a yard of cider.  The cider was pretty strong, so she ended up merrily sloshed, but to her credit she drank it all without spilling any and without barfing.  After that she ended up lying on the floor in cheetah face-paints and a false moustache and giggling maniacally.  I admit, that's the kind of thing she does when she's sober, but this was the drunkest I've ever seen her.
hammerhydra got me the hugest recurve bow I've ever seen for my birthday, and we got to try it out in Raun's parents' garden.  I was pleasantly surprised how badly I didn't miss, given that I haven't picked up a bow since I re-did my bow comp the Gathering before last.  Loads of people had a go on it and everyone admired it, even one of LT's bow comp checkers who must see bows by the dozen.

All home now.  Am a bit paranoid because after all the hassle I've been having at work,  xanthalanari let me know there were vacancies going at her office.  However, they require communication through the medium of CV, and I've never really had one.  In the end I knocked together a basic one from a generic template, and passed it over to a friend who'd offered to help me write a CV.  I let him know I'd need to submit it by Monday, but that if he didn't have time over the weekend I didn't mind, but could he please let me know.  And guess what?  No response.  Not on Facebook, not on email.  I even logged onto Facebook chat (which I *never* do) to try and catch him, and he just logged off.  *Bah*.  If he'd just said 'no', I'd have gone my merry way.  Around midnight I got an email saying he'd take a look at it on Thursday, which is not entirely helpful.  But I know he's not obliged to do anything for me, so I can't really complain that he told me he's had no time when he posted 14 status updates over the last 2 days, but it still kinda rankles.  Anyway, here goes my basic CV. Fingers crossed...

birthday, work, beer
