Just a quickie

Not gonna post this stuff every day, but I added in a new exercise, so I'm gonna give you more Gym Geekiness today.



Did my 45 on the bike and my standard upper body work, then decided I'd add something more.  Talked with Wayne about wanting to do push-up and pull-ups yesterday and he gave me a few suggestions.  One was to use the assisted pull-up machine.  So, guess what I did today?  lol  He'd recommended setting the weight so that I was only pulling 40 pounds of body weight.  Started there, but decided it was too light after two reps.  Reset the load to 70 pounds of body weight and grabbed the outer bars.  15 reps was awesome.  Caught my breath, grabbed the middle bars (shoulder width, palms facing each other) and did another set of 15.  Worried a bit about being sore tomorrow, blew it off, and grabbed the outer bars again (wider than shoulders, palms facing out) and managed another 10 before my forearms started protesting.  Probably could have done the last 5, but my grip was gone.  It really felt good overall.  Gonna give myself about two weeks with this weight, probably twice a week, then increase the load to 100 pounds.  Need to work myself off my knees doing push-ups too.  We'll see how my shoulders do.  lol

Ok, enough geekiness.  My apologies if I'm overdoing it.  Anyway... I'm off to make dinner: banana pancakes (with Fiber One mix), turkey bacon, and scrambled egg whites.  Hmmm, you know, it really is much better than it sounds.  lol
