I can do 115lbs of lat pulldowns for a few reps, though nowhere near as many as you just did. We've been rehearsing the pull-up shoulder actuation movement, so that on that distant future day when I can do my body weight, I'll know how to get it started.
Grip is always a problem for me. Been doing forearm exercises to try to improve it, but it's always the blocking factor in things like TRX. Bleah.
Body weight exercises are killer when we're overweight. Major incentive to get thinner, I say.
The cool thing about body weight exercises is that as you get stronger, you usually are getting lighter too. Sure makes for awesome progress and motivation! :)
Yeah, grip is a problem for me too. My forearms used to kill when I was doing lat pulldowns, but they don't really bother me anymore. Then again, I'm only doing reps at 60#, not over 100. (Awesome job there, btw!!) I did try doing the hanging leg raises without the ab slings a couple times using wrist straps that Wayne let me borrow. Works kinda like a strap wrench. Helped some, but not enough to make it worth the effort after I saw Wayne using the ab slings during his own workout.
