There has been several changes to my trip to Africa. Early this week we were just about finished with everything & were looking for flights to get us to Africa, around Africa & back, when we found that it put us over our budget. Small flights like between youngstown & Cleveland or Detroit that cost only around $100 per person here cost $400 per person in Africa. So we had to make some cuts. I will not be going to Rwanda to see the gorillas & golden monkeys. We had just found some permits for the gorillas a few days before we figured this out too. However I did find a place to see Chimps near Kigoma, Tanzania. Also, we found that on both sides of Victoria Falls (it on the border between Zambia & Zimbabwe, like how Niagra is between the US & Canada) there are elephant safaris. It isn't just a safari where you go see elephants in the wild; you ride on elephants during the safari. I don't know whether we will be going to Zambia or ZImbabwe though; Vince wants to go see Victoria Falls from both sides. We have to check what vaccinations we need for both countries as well as Tanzania & if we need a visa for both. The Visa for Tanzania costs $100. We are getting our Yellow Fever & Malaria vaccinations on Tuesday. It takes 3-4 weeks (depends on who you check with) for you to become immune. We'll check for what other vaccinations (if any) that we need for Tanzania, Zambia & Zimbabwe.
