Life Update
On my birthday I enlisted in the Army National Guard as a 42A, Human Resource Specialist. Those who have known me for years know how monumental that day was for me. Ever since high school I have wanted to enlist in the armed forces. My weight has always been a huge(no pun intended) factor. As if my mother having a heart attack didn't suck, the reason it happened sucks more. She has a PFO, patent foramen ovale, a hold in her heart. What happens is little tiny air bubbles that would normally be filtered out by the lungs are bypassed and allowed to travel through her brain, causing her to have mini strokes. I ended up leaving my job at Borders because I couldn't afford to work at an airport (read: airport food prices). I found a job at Cammenga, they make compasses for the U.S. military and other contracted countries as well as other items. It's my first full time job that is Mon-Fri, allowing me to finish my associate of arts on the weekend with my 6 ( Read more... ) -
