As if my mother having a heart attack didn't suck, the reason it happened sucks more. She has a PFO, patent foramen ovale, a hold in her heart. What happens is little tiny air bubbles that would normally be filtered out by the lungs are bypassed and allowed to travel through her brain, causing her to have mini strokes. These mini strokes produce clots that lodged in her coronary artery. The best(sarcasm) news is that the doctors won't do anything until she has another "episode". WTF....so a motherfucking heart attack wasn't enough? They want to wait for another one, or perhaps a big stroke before they "do anything"? It's bullshit.
