The parental units have descended on the house

My parents came home this afternoon, bearing gifts. I was expecting some candy bars that I had requested, but not the amount that came home. Loads of the Cadbury candy bars. Mmmhmmm. In addition to that, I got a coloring book (yes, a coloring book) because my mom liked the Celtic designs in it (a lot are from the Book of Kells). I actually do enjoy coloring (yes, I color), but I'm torn between actually coloring in this book or keeping it in its nice virgin state. I also got a claddagh necklace that I quite like. My mom thought I could switch it up with the Celtic knot necklace I've been wearing pretty much every day since the middle of high school. What? I don't like change all that much. And I really like that necklace. Why wouldn't I? I picked it out and my brother bought it for me for Christmas.

Anyway, within minutes of them being home (my sister was here too as she picked them up from the airport) I was grieving the loss of silence. I will miss that month of no bickering and loud talking and constant questions about everything. But my mom is cooking dinner right now and I can definitely tell you that I will NOT miss my attempts at making food for myself. Bring on the good food!
