I used part of my vacation this week so I didn't have to work on my birthday.
-Friday I bought pizzas for everyone in the plant =d
-Saturday was the tailgate party. Hardly anyone watched the actual baseball game XD mostly running around out in the woods and the rest of the neighborhood and talking and eating. I had invited Tiffany to stay for the rest of my vacation if she wanted, and I hadn't heard back from her but she decided to stay anyway. By the end of the party my uncles were racing ping pong balls down the waterfall in the back and betting on which one would reach the bottom first. I got a Brewers jersey and an Angels hat from Mom and Dad, a restaurant gift card from Justin and Steph, and Sonic Gems, the complete Sonic SatAM series, and a bunch of Gamecube equipment from Spyn. Tiff and I watched most of the Sonic series the whole time we were together. Funny stuff.
Immediately after I got home my glasses broke, so now I'm wearing my huuuuge safety glasses and I feel like a goofball.
-Sunday was my actual birthday, we went back up to my parents' house and hung around. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings and watched a bunch of episodes of Mythbusters.
Tiff has a job in downtown Chicago and she thought she might have to start working that week, so she invited me down to her place for the rest of the week so she could be there in case she had to go. It turned out she just had to go in for paperwork on Tuesday.
-But anyway, Monday we explored all the local parks and met up with Spyn, then late we headed to Chicago. We dropped Spyn off at the Barnes and Noble and this lady just walked right up to him, handed him a paper and started rambling about how Prince Charles is the Antichrist and Princess Diana was an angel or something. The paper listed "Jesus's Websites" (which were the name of some lady and a listing for a Lulu book) and told us we should drink borax and water. We got to Tiff's place and messed around with the Sims and Soul Calibur.
-Tuesday we went to downtown Chicago, first to Tiffany's work, then the last Bennigan's (T_T), then we were going to go to the art museum but they closed at 5 for some reason. The whole time it was pouring rain and cold. It always is when I go there! When we got back, Tiff's friend Danielle came over and we played "Loaded Questions" and some more Soul Calibur.
-Wednesday we went shopping with Aunt Kathleen. We ended up spending a lot of time at Goodwill. I picked out eight outfits. Six of them didn't fit, one I didn't like how it looked on me, and the best one I picked out someone stole out of the cart when we weren't looking! X( Jerk. We set up a tent for little Johnny and hung around and talked a little more, and then I left that night. I got home about 2am yesterday -
What I learned this week) People in Chicago either don't know what Yield means or don't care. I'm a lot like my great-grandma. Many more very interesting family dynamics.
What's still boggling my mind) How such an awful song like Poker Face gets so much airtime.
This was a fun vacation ^_^ just a little too short - but I have a short work week this time around too. Gotta go finish all the chores I didn't get to do now -
