From what website do you think this is?

Greetings. I, am Andrew Schack.

Many of you may already know me from my smash cult hit Filmaginariums column in the Arlington Heights Journal and Topics. It was recently terminated due to jealousy, and while I'm sorry that the AHJ&T couldn't bother to print an explanation for the termination, I'm glad you so many of you have probably followed me here to my new home at the Weekly Johnson.

I reason that the best introduction for those of you who aren't returning addicts from Filmaginariums would be to print my personal thesis, "Inside the Silver Beltway: Politics, Movies and the Shame of American Arrogance: The Andrew Schack Story." I wrote it to augment my BA in Film from the respected University.

INSIDE THE SILVER BELTWAY: POLITICS, MOVIES AND THE SHAME OF AMERICAN ARROGANCE: THE ANDREW SCHACK STORY

Many Movies offer a very political twist.

Author's Note:I have to re-write my thesis from memory, because I lost the floppy disk that I had it on (it was the best medium available back then) and it was only very nearly complete at the time, which is to say that I needed to add a little bit more to the end and middle, flesh out many of the points and translate some of it back to English.

I've decided now to wait and finish recreating my thesis some other time, perhaps when I'm not keeping an eye on so much cous cous in the next room. This much I can tell you now, though: I'm Andrew Schack, and I'm here to simplify politics and film (and sometimes both) for those of you who don't have degrees in film to work in tandem with an extremely well-studied love of film. My column here at the Weekly Johnson won't be called Filmaginariums, though, because this will have a different, more intellectual tint to it, and management also won't let me call it that.

Perhaps soon I'll post some of my reviews of V for Vendetta to get the ball rolling.
