It's true, she does have an accent. It always bothered me that she used her 'American' accent when she was doing hair commercials. Would it really have been so disturbing to hear her speak naturally outside a TV show? The citizens of The Corporate States of Our Lord Jesus Christ are so easily disturbed. A) How do you know that the people who "suffered and died" aren't the lucky ones in a disaster? Once you're dead (and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt that they've gone to "heaven"), it's over. The people who are left are the ones who'll be facing all sort of waterborn diseases, finding themselves homeless in the middle of a disaster area, there will probably be famin 'cause all the fields and animals are gone too, along with whatever food people had stored away. The dead don't have to worry about that ( ... )

I agree-- the killing of 100,000 people in a freak, once-every-couple-of-centuries act of nature just screams 'benevolence' and 'higher purpose'¡ It's super-comforting¡

Most of the time... when someone receives some award or accomplishes something great and thanks God in an interview, they are simply acknowledging their belief that all blessings flow from God. They are acknowledging that the talent they have is not their's alone. They are rarely trying to suggest to anyone that they were chosen BY GOD HIMSELF to win the award. They were just raised to give thanks for good things in their life ( ... )
