I live in the Detroit Metro area and saw two ducks today while on a walk. They were both brown, I'm assuming a male and a female. One was all brown and had black eyes, the other was all brown with I think a small colored spot on the wing, black eyes with a white circle around them. I was in Paris recently and noticed that a number of Christmas trees had snowy owls as their tree toppers instead of stars or angels, as is more common here. Is there a legend or Christmas story that explains this? I've searched for all combinations of owls, France, Christmas, Christmas tree, Paris.

Weirdest request ever. I'm trying to find the author of a poem that I read in high school.
