After posting this I found it - 'Coming home/Nancherrow'. I am Impressively wrong on a lot of the details and it apparently featured a young Keira Knightly
I'm trying to remember the name of what I think was an ITV drama that I saw at Easter years and years ago (12 or more). It was in two or three parts, which were on at Easter and then I think at Christmas.
Things I remember:
* Set around WW1 or WW2
* The name of it may have been the name of the big fancy house it was set in, that possibly begain with an 'M' or had 'ch' in it somewhere
* May have been a book
* The main character was female with dark hair
* The main character's younger sister came back from somewhere (a boat accident I think) and was traumatised and wouldn't speak, eventually started to talk after watching an old film of the family.
* They were near a cliff
* Someone was in a wheelchair
* There were two brothers, one was nice and the other was sort of evil
* The main character eventually ended up with the nice brother
It could have been a BBC drama but I'm fairly sure it was ITV.
I've looked at lists on wikipedia but nothing is jumping out!
