UK series from the 80/90's
I'm trying to remember the name of a British tv series from the 80/90's.
The world/UK had been infected with rabies, I think, it was about the time there was a rabies scare in Europe and the quarantine laws were ramped up to 11. All the animals had gone mad and humans were running scared, there was no cure once infected. There was a group of survivors, a couple of men and woman, the obligatory nutter and the possible villian in the group, they had mobile phones but only had a little bit of charge left and had to conserve it untill they found sources to charge the things. One scene I remember is in a pub, the group are sat having a drink (like you do in a post apocalyptic world) and there is a couple behind them playing with a ferret much to their horror. There may or may not have been a Chimaera hanging around and evil scientists, but that could have been a differant prog entirely.
