Saying or turn of phrase?

I'm looking for a saying that has the same meaning as "I might have been born...but I wasn't born yesterday." That doesn't really make a lot of sense, and the saying I'm grasping for is either the same one said better, or a different one altogether that gets across the same idea. Thanks for your help!

Where I'm from we'd say "I'm not as green as I'm cabbage looking." Might be a bit regional though!

Literally, just "You might think I look like a green leafy vegetable, but I'm not actually green as in naive, young, gullible." I think. No-one's ever spelled it out to me before so I'm making assumptions!
