Song from a TV show

So last night on the TV show, The Unusuals, at the scene where Delahoy goes to confront the man who had bought his identity and a quirky song comes on as he leaves the man's house... it's a male voice, soft, kind of quirky, backed up by an acoustic guitar. What I could make out of the lyrics are: Some say a bird flew, bearing some gun on you // Another crime, such tears of joy // Day after day, night after night.
