Two for today.
1. There was an Irish short story about a "perfect" couple, from the (third person) POV of their friends. They were too perfect. They could do no wrong. When one girl painted her apartment eggplant and it turned out horribly, the Perfect girl used the same color and somehow it worked. They named their daughter Queenie, and then got a divorce, which made all their friends smug about how unperfect their lives would be now. But then the Perfect exes and their new Perfect fiancees had Christmas together, with Queenie, and went on vacation together. It ended with a friend exclaiming "How do they DO it?!"
2. From the 80s, a movie about special effects in the 50s. A guy makes a movie about monsters, that has wires in the chairs of the theater and tickles the people as they watch, or sprays water on them, etc. More than 3D was his idea, iirc. There was a main teenager guy, and his sort of girlfriend, Cherie.
Thanks!
