kind of obscure song.
I remember this song I think i listened to it in later high school, which would be around 2003-2005. It was a hip-hop/pop/r&b genre kind of slow song, played on the hit music radio, sung by a girl I had thought was Hilary duff but was not. It was pretty much a one-hit deal. She had a very whiny voice and it was about breaking up with a guy or wishing they were together. I know it exists but I don't know any lyrics, I just know I heard it before. Hopefully somebody knows what I'm talking about..sorry for being vague, will edit post if i remember more.

ETA: main points that i vaguely remember - sounds like hilary duff, is slow tempo, i think it was sung by a young african american woman, break up song, one hit played on the radio kind of artist, could be anytime in the 2000s, except for 2007-2009.
