Hey there...

Well, its Tuesday-post-day again, so here I am posting. About what? Who knows. Read on and find out...

Last week I watched two of my favorite movies for the umpteenth time: Prefontaine and Without Limits. I think when you watch one of those movies you should watch the other one shortly after because they have two different perspectives (even though one is a rip off of the other and inserts non-historical scenes without much explanation as to why they're there then mentions them in a scroll by at the end of the movie that you can only read if it were on a big screen and you were two feet in front of it, and the only reason that crap is in there is because someone didn't bother to do their homework and find out that the movie they were ripping off was in fact historically innaccurate; plus they don't even show the race where the "STOP PRE" shirt originated, come on!). If you are going to watch them, I would suggest watching Prefontaine first because that one leaves you with more knowledge, and then watch Without Limits because that one leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling...sort of.

I bought a couple of books this weekend that I think will be well worth the gift certificate I paid for them with. One is an autobiography by Dean Smith and one is called "The Krzyzewskiville Tales". I haven't had time to read them yet.

Sunday was cool because I got to play my guitar all day after I got home from lunch after church and then I went to youth group and played guitar while leading them in worship. I played my newest song and one of the girls asked right before I was going to play it, "Did you right this song?". RED FACE, no comment. None necessary I guess, because the red face told her yes. So I played it and I went faster than I normally would because I was so flustered by the question. I'm not sure why I was so embarrassed, I just didn't understand how she could have guessed that I wrote since I told no one that I was going to be playing it or what it's called since I just named it that afternoon. Well, I guess Travis knew because he was on the phone trying to help me when I decided what it would be. He gets no credit for it. Anyway, it went well and they said they liked it, and I told them afterward that I didn't tell them because I want to make sure they're focused on God and not thinking about how cool or uncool the song is just because they know who wrote it.

While I was typing that song up to put in my computer file (well, actually after I typed it and while I was saving it) I found another song that I wrote like a year ago (Aaron, I played the first part for you before I finished it) and it was already finished and everything and I was like, sweet, I like that song. So I tweaked it a little then played it a few times. Its good stuff.

Ok, last rant and back to work for me, amigos and amigas. I was driving home for lunch today and it was SPRINKLING outside. Did you get that? SPRINKLING. So I was coming down 30east and as I am nearing the light where I turn right I realize the car in front of me is going much slower so I let off the gas and figured I would catch up to them by coasting and I'd have to slow down to turn anyway. About ten seconds later I had to apply the brakes because this idiot was traveling at 30mph in a 50mph zone because it was SPRINKLING!!!! WHY!!! I realize road oils arise soon after a rain begins, but they are shortly washed away and I realize that sometimes when it rains there is low visibility due to the speed at which rain drops accumulate on your windshield. However, neither of these factors come into play when you're going 50 and its SPRINKLING! I hate idiots with liscences.
