Instead of Tuesday post day it's Saturday post day!!! YAY!! And no, I did not spell the title of this post wrong. I'm protesting. I think the silent "r" is stupid and after a quick dictionary.com search I found out that Chaucer, who used the spelling in this title in lieu of "to surprise", shared my distaste. And he is a respected figure in literary history. Down with "r", up with Chaucer!
So, what inspires this weekend update? I'm pretty much bored. I went to coach soccer this morning and that went well. We tied 3-3, which wasn't too exciting considering we were winning 2-1 with five minutes left. And it wasn't the coaching because we were yelling out heads off trying to get them to stay in their positions and pass the ball like a team. Grrr!
After that I went tanning, which turned out to be a poor decision considering I was already slightly red from having gone Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. The guy told me a few days ago that if I got red a couple hours after tanning that I should skip a day. I could see that my whole body was red the second I got out of the bed today. And the last minute I was in there it felt like I was get little static shocks all over my body. I didn't use lotion because I didn't want to burn that bad, but I think it might have helped because at least I would have been somewhat moisturized. I have since applied multiple coats of body moisturizer and, I must say, smell quite nice.
Aside from that I have been sitting around reading Blue Blood all day while doing laundry. I learned something interesting too. Rick Fox, who starred for UNC in the early 90's, is originally from the Bahamas and moved to the U.S. as a kid, where he learned to play basketball in the little town of Warsaw, Indiana. Who knew?! I told Dalene and she was like, "Yeah, I knew him." I'm sure most people who live here probably are aware if they have much of a clue about sports and have been around long enough to have known kids who graduated in the late 80's. The connections to this town never cease to amaze me.
Well, I'm going to go try to finish reading that book so I can start the two I bought last weekend.
Happy Supprise Saturday!
