Hastings is worse. He's pretty much crapping blood now and that's if he goes to the bathroom because he's vomiting a lot. He's also had to pee every few hours so I wake up once or twice a night to take him outside or else he'll pee in my room. Thankfully he doesn't seem to be in any pain as he's acting normal, his fur isn't falling out, etc etc etc but I'm still really concerned. I'm taking him to a specialist on Monday (and was lucky enough to get paid leave for it because my supervisor considers dogs to be family members and ergo qualify me for paid leave) to further examine the growth the last vet found. I have enough money stashed away now to pay for it, but my parents are (thankfully) helping me out a bit.
There's a lot of overtime at work (people are clocking in 70-95 hours a week) and if Hastings needs a complicated surgery, looks like I'll be disappearing from the world and working all the overtime. He's definitely worth it.
