Sakuracon 2008 - Seattle Wa, Friday - Sunday.  No new cosplay costumes so Mr. Joker might make a return appearance.

Cannon Beach Oregon - Last weekend of July.  Family Reunion.  Hope to have epic DS battles.

aaaaand that's pretty much it this year.  Driving a new car is AWESOME, paying for one SUCKS.

When there are no less than THREE Ms. Pac-Man machines within a one-block radius.  In Seaside, Oregon, this is possible.  They are all different, too:

• Standard Ms. Pac-Man machine
• Ms. Pac-Man / Galaga duo (WANT)
• Ms. Pac-Man / Galaga duo SIT DOWN TABLE (I love these!)

Overall the classic arcade games plentiful compared to what you find in most arcades ( Read more... )

First day was spent sleeping while the garage sale took place. People actually bought some old VHS tapes of mine. So far, we've made over $100 of stuff that probably cost several times that in the first place.

The rest of the week calls for trips to Salem, Vancouver (WA), and Seaside.

Tomorrow, we take off for a suburb of San Fransisco.  We are driving there from Portland so it should be something.  What's kind of nice is that there's nothing there for us that we have to do.  There's no convention, no wedding, no wrestling match.  Just the three of us meeting up with some friends.

• Samurai Champloo Roman Album - fully translated into English! Full of art and insight into a great television series.
• Penny Arcade stickers - ...they were only $1, but they are signed by Gabe (Tycho was called away to Spokane for some reason). Was gonna buy a hoodie, but all they had was the "Life" one. BTW, EBX here has their books ( Read more... )

A new movie theater opened up in the downtown area recently called Living Room Theaters. It's a little snooty and pretentious but they specialize in movies that aren't playing at chain theaters. The food was good but expensive and in small portions. One dish is basically an sandwich wrap arranged to look like sushi and it cost me $10. The ( Read more... )
