So. I have student loans. Government and private. I learned something interesting yesterday. With private student loans, you're only allowed 48 months' worth of deferments and forbearance, after which the loan goes into repayment no matter what your status. Two of my classes have tutorials directly following the lecture. These classes happen to be the ones that already end at 8:15 in the evening. For COMP 201, the tutorial was actually useful and enabled me to complete my programming assignment, or at least most of it. The Concordia bookstore just emailed my student booklist. Two required texts, one recommended. But the recommended text is almost 200$. USED. For new, it's closer to 270$. Not happening. Yesterday was a largely productive day during the at-home portion. I did dishes and hung and folded some clothes, though I didn't fold everything. I also did some phone stuff, talking to banks and whatnot about fixing debts. Apparently my bank charges $30 for money orders, which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Yesterday was the first time I had to make the mad dash to both our banks to ensure that the landlord's rent check went through. Usually our pays fall in such a way that this is avoided, but that was not the case this time.
