This weekend StarCityGames held a Magic the Gathering tournament in Memphis. I didn't go play, but I stopped by to see if there were any artists there. There wasn't. But, the trip wasn't a bust. I was able to pick up some dragon cards I wanted for my collection ( Read more... )

Woohoo! I'm done with a training class at work. All of last week and most of this week, we were learning about some new software (to us) that we'll be using for some future project. Of course, by the time the project gets assigned, I'm sure I'll have forgotten everything I learned.

Yay! FedEx turns 35 today. So, at work, we had cupcakes and soft drinks in the lobby. I've only been there for 10 of those years, but I still got a cupcake. Pretty tasty.

Now that the weather is pretty cold, the groundskeepers at work have added nice incentives to walk outside. Around seemingly random trees are nature signs saying what the trees are and a little information about them. The bad thing is that most of the signs are not along any kind of path and perhaps places where no one should be walking anyway. ( Read more... )
