I finally started my second job. It's still not full time, but it will be full time for a little while. I got hired on at another hospital in town to do CT every other weekend. I have come to the conclusion that...working third shift sucks ass. All hail the Goddess Caffeina! At least the hospital has a free public wifi (because a lot of sites are blocked through the work computers). I think it's time to toss in a DVD.

I got let go at my job on Friday afternoon. Not laid off, "let go." For taking a break. No, really. It was an aircraft manufacturing plant, and the manufacturing floor has very specific times for breaks and lunches. I'm officially a short-timer. I gave my notice at work today (four weeks). My last day will be Dec. 8.

Irony is ... getting a glowing annual review and a 4 percent raise on a day where you've got an appointment to go talk to someone and set up a time to shadow someone for a completely unjournalistic career....

Thank the gods this week is fucking over. Today in particular. Work was hell from the word go today.
