Ok, this has been bugging me for a while and I just have to ask someone about it. Why do some amigurumi pattern makers feel it is necessary to join each round with a slipstitch? Whenever I follow the pattern's directions and do this, it never looks good. You can see where the slipstitch is on each round, and it looks ugly. Same with ch1 at the ( Read more... )

I'm going to be doing an amigurumi panel at Another Anime Convention this year in Nashua NH (October 17-19) and I'm going to make out packets with directions on how to crochet. It does work for crochet too!  :o)

Well, I had to try it, so I braved the painful hands, and crocheted a peep with the loopy legs idea, and it worked!!  Now maybe you guys have been doing this all along, I don't know, but I haven't seen it elsewhere, so I have to share!  :o)
