Perhaps the best commission I've gotten since
Painguin, the bionic penguin...
Edgar Von Schnuglehoffen, the shaven hedgehog wearing a frosting hat with sprinkles and a cherry on top.
I really don't like making the prickly coat for the hedgehog in the Amigurumi World book, so when I expressed my distaste for it, my friend requested a shaven hedgehog. Because I said it wouldn't look much like a hedgehog, she went on to request the frosting hat... so I went with it.
Normally, for sprinkles, what I'd do is use little beads, like everyone else, but my needle was too big for the beads and I was too lazy to go find a thinner one (I don't know why, but I can never find needles in my house!), so she got little tiny jingly bells for sprinkles instead.
The name, I don't know where I got it from, but part way through making him I decided he'd be named Edgar Von Snooglehoff. Which then became Schnuglehoff. Which later, after he was given to my friend, a random lady at a cafe said Schnuglehoffen had a good ring to it. And thus, the name was made.
