TigerDirect.com refunded my money to my credit card on Friday. Yay! The whole $351 and change for the original tower and shipping. That took another large chunk out of my credit card debt, and it's going to be that much easier to pay it off again!

I'm still working on cleaning up some stuff on my credit reports. There are a variety of things like closed accounts showing as open, duplicate records of accounts, and things like my new refinanced mortgage not showing up yet 3+ months after transferring to the new lender.

I finally got the confirmation from TransUnion a couple of weeks ago, that they removed the fraudlent account from my credit report. This was from some jackass in the Bronx who opened a cell phone account in my name back in 2001 that subsequently went to collections. The removal of that black mark upped my consumer credit score by 25 points ( Read more... )

Yesterday in the mail I received a letter from the collection agency saying that my recent (try back in August 2005) request for them to investigate the fraudulent collection account has come out in my favor! They have supposedly contacted all three credit reporting agencies and I should expect the erroneous information to come off my files within ( Read more... )

I checked in with my loan processor today, and he researched the status. Apparently they are simply waiting for the insurance information on the HOA policy. Hopefully they will receive it today, so I can fund sooner rather than later. Guess it is still a waiting game for now.
