11. Beyond the Hanging Wall - Sara Douglass - 348 pages. Interesting read containing magical healers, a kidnapped/brainwashed prince, and a strange creature who kept reminding me of Snuffaluffagus (sp?). I really like the style of the writer, and she takes on several different styles and genres.
12. Threshold - Sara Douglass - 448 pages. This one involves an evil pyramid, The One, Cantomancy, and elemental magics. Both slaves and nobles discover that they have magic they didn't realize, and there is a battle with an evil entity from beyond. Entertaining read.
