[IC Journal - Ezidran] Written Journal Entry - "Black Dragon In The Onslaught"
I do think I'm starting to get walked over easily. I need to stop believing so.
A few days ago, I tried requesting Corporal Harper for help in our 2nd mission to the Onslaught Harbor to recover the Sin'dorei registry that may uncover my husband Dynast's past. She had a request and I willingly complied to it. She wanted to see her former Scarlet Crusade comrade, Saul Dupuis, who was held imprisoned by the Ebon Knights.
You know how we do things as an Ebon Knight - None of our prisoner interrogation are merciful. Saul Dupuis was really fucked up bad, each torture session became crueller and crueller than he spat out what we needed. The man must be made out of steel or something. Then again, he's a fucking Scarlet. I should not be surprised.
I granted her permission to see him. I could tell she was not pleased by it and put the man out of his misery by her own hands. It was an unauthorized execution but not like we Death Knights care if a Scarlet dies anyway. It was until Zain came, taunted her about it, 'trivialized' Saul's execution and mocked her for 'clinging onto old values'.
Sadly, he's sort of right, yet he's really going overboard with this. Harper almost put a dent into Zain's face.
With all the disagreements, she refused to help me. Much to my dismay, since I complied to her request but I also had to send her away and let her go. She expressed disapproval in our mission, saying it was murder, slaughter - Just to find a closure for Dynast.
She partly right but not really. The Scarlet Onslaught are blind, delusional and hostile. If I had just wanted to do this mission for selfish reasons instead of helping the cause, I would've just eaten their bodies right on the spot and take enjoyment in slaughtering.
Hell, we parted ways. It wasn't right to attack a fellow Crusader over personal feelings either. No point in mending over disagreements that we will never understand each other for.
So I had Churchil to come help instead. It works out well since he's a death knight.
We proceeded onto our mission yesterday and infiltrated the Onslaught Harbor's cathedral. We met a lot of opposition along the way but Dynast took care of them very easily. I don't think he even needs our help to do so, aheh! My husband's ice abilities have grown tremendously strong these days, he's amazing at taking out multiple opponents at a time. We found out the registry might have been at the docks area, they were shipping out Sin'dorei relics, intelligence and other ancient text to various parts of Scarlet territories. Have I mentioned Churchil set himself on fire and started throwing pumpkin grenades? It's damn weird.
Then there was this strange Scarlet captain guy we fought - all of sudden, he TURNED INTO A BLACK DRAGON. (Why do all black dragons like to disguise as a black-haired, dark skinned human men who like to inflitrate evil organizations?)
I was shocked, I could've pissed my pants if my bowel systems still worked.
Strangest thing was the black dragon seemed very shocked to see Zain (and me?) too. He knew Zain's full name too, accused us of his son's murder and proceeded to attack us in full fury. SPEWING BLACK FLAMES AND SHIT.
We fought him, he tried to blow us up and the ship. We didn't come out unscattered. The searing flames of his breath burnt parts of my arm and chest, it hurts like nether. I think some of my armor melted into my skin, it took me hours to peel it off and mend and repair with my Blood healing capabilities. My love suffered the same too, he's really tired and in pain now. I am going to do something today, help tend his wounds and pamper him.
He also tail-lashed Churchil into broken pieces of bones and almost crushed Zain's ribs. Glad they are still alive. I had to put Churchil's remains into my bag, take him to a safe place then reassemble his bones. He's missing a few more bones, I used my ghoul's body parts to replace them. Hope Churchil will be fine, he's up and walking now.
Zain's still in bed recovering from his injuries. We decided to go over the relics, loot and the dragon's backpack that we raided back at the harbor this morning. Zain got himself some new glyphs and I found some kind of map. It is kind of vague, even Zain doesn't even quite understand how to read it. Then there's the dragon's human form's portrait, his name 'Domitius' is etched at the bottom of the frame.
There is a thick arcane-bound book in the backpack. Could it be the registry we have been looking for?
Whatever it is, we're still wondering about the black dragon's presence in the Scarlet Crusade and why is he disguised among the Scarlets. The question is how does he know Zain? Why did he accuse us for killing his son?
Zain claims he doesn't remember. He seems quite familiar but I am certain I have never met the dragon. Judging from his size and power, he seems old. It seems so strange for a black dragon to care for his offspring (unless his son must have a very valuable asset to him?) and remember his enemies so vividly enough to spurn such hateful vengeance. We must have done something really terrible to his son enough for the black dragon to remember us so vividly.
I will have to think about this later. Old age memory gets to me some days.
