[IC Journal - Ezidran] Written Journal Entry - "Preparing For Hallow's End"
So, Harper didn't answer my questions in the letter. Neither did Churchil. I think this is going to be something I need to personally go right to them and ask.
The last few days I have been working hard helping out Dynast on upgrading Nasira, our pirate ship. You know, at least get a chunk of work done before Hallow's End so we can have a lot of time to ourselves during the festival. Zain makes a fuss about everything, nothing can be done. I head out once in awhile to Undercity to see if the Forsaken had anything set up for Hallow's End. (Note to self: Arrange a meeting with Rincavornon to make hallucinogen drug)
Then I found this lone kid, Ely, looks very very young, small and dirty, running around in Undercity courtyard. She had a big kitty named Purrma. It's too dangerous for a young kid to be running around in a Forsaken's territory. What if she's captured for experiments or kidnapped by some psychotic undead?
We talked, she seems like an endearing poor little thing. Said her parents were deployed off to Northrend and the only one who is taking care of her is the big kitty. I offered to show her around Nasira next day, fed her and Purrma some delicious cake and steak. I am so happy she loved my cooking and called me Uncle. But of course, I don't intend to keep her around the ship. Considering our budget, Nasira's travel over to the pirate fleet soon, Dynast and the horror - Zain, she wouldn't last long on Nasira. Too dangerous. Just too dangerous for a kid to be on a pirate ship.
Zain's going to chew her out and make her cry everyday or something if we ever kept her. It's for the best.
I took her for a ride and left her in one of Dalaran's inn so she could be safe there. Initially, I intended to send her to Shattrath city's orphanage but I've heard how she ran away from her own orphanage and she believes her parents would come back for her. I doubt she ever wanted to stay with one. Must find someone who can take care of her.
Hate to say this, I think her parents are dead. I know Zain's going to shatter her hopes and make her loose all zeal to live if he ever met her. No, thanks, really. I cannot bear to see children cry.
Vaseka's doing a good job with the rest of Nasira's modifications. I'm excited to know what the Winter Veil gift is that Dynast's making for me and Zain. I do have plenty of good gift ideas on Winter Veil for him, maybe Hallow's End too. I'm not too sure what to wear for Hallow's End, though. I'm not even sure if it's even safe to go out celebrating Hallow's End with all the earthquakes going on!
Dynast's right after all, there were subtle, almost unnoticeable tremors before these larger earthquakes. Nasira's speedy travel to south-east of Stranglethorn has to be done soon. After Hallow's End's first few days, I intend to bring in Nurashima and her brother to come help out the crew. Maybe some of my old buddies will come along and join the crew.
I'm not sure about what Dynast thinks about me. I like how he's honest with me, he does adore the Otherside. He loves me, he does but not the side that I would like to be. When I first met him, he was enamoured by not-the-Otherside. And even spoke how he feels sadden if I do not retain the enthusiastic, friendly persona that I had. I thought he had always loved who I am, now there's a 'preference' in my personae.
I just want to be in between, again. And Zain knows that.
