Can't sleep, clowns will eat me
The Insomnia Fairy has blessed me again.
Couldn't sleep so I watched Ichi the Killer again to make myself feel better. I adore that movie. YES YES YES it is about as sick and demented as they come. But it's also brilliant. I LOVE Takashi Miike. And I RILLY RILLY love Tadanobu Asano. I mean, in an unhealthy way. OMIGOD I forgot how gorgeous that boy is. Even with the scars, and the freaky blond hair, and the freakier split mouth. SEXY. They call him the Japanese Johnny Depp, for his incredible looks and his bizarre role choices. Works for me. I'm thinkin' Johnny-Tad sandwich...WHOOPS sorry TMI. Never blog and merlot, kids.
I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull again today, with Orion. (Saw it the first time Thursday, courtesy of my corporate masters.) I actually enjoyed it more the second time. Partly, it was because O enjoyed it so much. But I also saw some details I hadn't noticed the first time--particularly references to the Young Indiana Jones series. It's a fun flick. Not the best Indy ever, but still pretty good. I was thrilled to see Karen Allen looking so happy and healthy.
And Harrison Ford is still hot, for an old dude. And Ray Winstone is hot. Okay maybe not to everybody, but i have a little Ray Winstone problem. Even that big mean Russian dude was sorta hot.
It must be spring. I have boys on the brain.
