What a Friday!

Ok, kids, first thing's first. Connecticut's Supreme Court did a wonderful thing today and said they would be the third state to allow gay people to marry:

"We conclude that, in light of the history of pernicious discrimination faced by gay men and lesbians, and because the institution of marriage carries with it a status and significance that the newly created classification of civil unions does not embody, the segregation of heterosexual and homosexual couples into separate institutions constitutes a cognizable harm."

- Majority of Connecticut Supreme Court, ruling for marriage equality in Kerrigan & Mock v. Dept. of Public Health

Wonderful, and a day before National Coming Out Day, too!

Secondly, sorry I've been a bit quiet these past few days. This week has been busy and a bit stressful, but we've come out of it ok on this lovely Friday. Yom Kippur was this past Wed night/Thursday, and while I did not go to services or fast, I met up with S's parents and g-parents at California Pizza Kitchen to break the um, fast...(basically spend some family time together). Work has been ok, a little slow actually. I'm still waiting to get into a freaking office, but hopefully I won't be waiting much longer. Not much else to say now, but I wish everyone a happy Friday and enjoy your weekend!
