Really really getting down to the nitty gritty of it here.  :)  Just about everything we did was DIY, and I'm really really proud of how it is all turning out.  :)  So here's my brag post about where I am.  Warning - Seriously graphics intense!

We got married on August 1st 2012 in North Wales, our ceremony was in a local Town Hall, I walked down the aisle to a recording of my husband playing John Fahey's "sea of love" on guitar. the party was in our garden.

We just came back from meeting our minister and our ceremony got green lit! I wasn't concerned, but as someone who has never attended church but is being married in a Christian church, even the United Church seemed a little Big And Scary. In the end? It was me being little and nervous - the minister is the sweetest lady and she loved our ceremony! ( Read more... )

OK, so since my fiance is an atheist, no matter what we decide (eloping or ceremony), it won't be in a church. I've only been to weddings in churches, so I know that they can take a long time because it's a mass, and there are prayers, and readings, and all that.
