several questions...

Hey everyone! So there are 41 days until the wedding...it's really crunch time! A majority of the stuff is done, but I have some questions:

1. For my bridesmaids, I bought all of their jewelry, and I was going to use that as my gift to them. They all know what everything looks like though, because I tried to find stuff that everyone could agree on. Would that kind of be tacky as a gift because they know they're getting it? Should I throw something else in there?

2. When do you typically give the gifts? At the rehearsal dinner? same with the grooms? What did your FH's get their groomsmen for gifts? My hubby is tossed between personalized beer glasses or personalized flasks.

3. I'm also stumped on mother-of-the-bride gifts. I have been doing Google searches and I haven't really found anything that I like except for picture frames. I REALLY want to get her a diamond bracelet, but I cannot afford that at the moment. What are your MOB gifts/ideas? Is it "proper etiquette" to get your future MIL a gift, too, or is the groom supposed to do that?

4. My father passed away from pancreatic cancer almost 4 1/2 years ago. In place of the father/daughter dance, I was either thinking about not doing it at all OR having my older brother dance with me if he wants to lol. Does anybody have any song suggestions for this?

5. We have a family friend who lives in Florida (we live in Ohio) and she cannot make it to the wedding, which is understandable. She did a send a gift, though, but I have no idea what it is yet. Should I wait until after the wedding to send a thank-you card or should I do it as soon as possible after receiving the gift? The wedding is on May 14th.

6. I stole the idea from someone here and put "I promise to dance if you play _________" on the response cards. Some of the song choices I'm not really okay with...my sister in law requested The Hokey Pokey or The Chicken Dance. ugh! Would it be rude not to play them? Or maybe I could save those songs towards the end?

Thank you everyone!
