When is it appropriate to start a wedding website? Is there such a thing as too soon? We are 495 days out from our August 11th 2012 wedding. Where is a good place to host one? I am pretty web savvy and could in theory design my own website but would prefer not to. I also need a place where people can RSVP since we're not having RSVP cards.
EDIT: Are there any free websites that let you design your own site based on a template? I'd really like to use similar graphics to the ones on the invitations.
EDIT 2:Did people password protect their RSVP page? If not, did people not invited to the wedding RSVP?
Has anyone used paper shapes such as heart or flowers as center pieces or even decorations? Bonus points for pictures.
I want my dad to perform our ceremony but I don't think he'd be comfortable getting religiously ordained. I read in a wedding book that a person could get deputized to perform a wedding for the day. Has anyone done this or looked into this? In case it matters I'm in Pierce County, WA.
Lastly, invitations. I am designing and making my own invitations. I've been to the paper store too many times to count. My first thought was to make the invitations 8.5" by 5.5" but then I saw square envelopes and thought square invitations would be uber cool. Then I learned square envelopes are more expensive, postage wise. Now I don't know. I've designed both sizes.
