Please help, I'm trying to get stuff decided before I have a frenzy of wedding related stuff to do next weekend.
Where is a good place to look for dress shirts for guys that will go with Alfred Angelo's Blue Jay color? Or should we have the Groomsman, Best Man, and Bridesman wear silver shirts and blue ties?
My fiancé decided that he wants to wear a white shirt and make a blue tie that matches the ladies dresses, and then have the other guys in blue with silver ties. We've had a swatch of Casa Silk from JoAnn in their "cornflower" color and it matches AA's Blue Jay exactly. So I gave my ladies the option of making a dress or ordering whatever style AA dress they want in Blue Jay. So we took our swatch around to like...every department store we can think of, and we've not been able to find a light blue dress shirt for the other guys. I think it'd be a better idea to put the guys in silver shirts and blue ties, because it will be easier to find shirts, and then we also won't have too much blue. What do ya'll think? *looks at the guys in here specifically.
Can anyone help me find a cake topper that would match our theme? (Garden wedding, colors are blue and silver, roses preferred. No b/g couple, because they're all skinny and stuff and I'm not. *lol*)
I've browsed a ton of sites that have cake toppers and nothing's really jumped out at me. I know I could just buy silk flowers and make my own, but I'm not sure I really want to do that yet. I've got enough DIY on my plate plus I'm in school right now.
What inexpensive ideas are there for favors that will go for a garden-themed wedding?
We're looking at $1 or less per favor as the definition for inexpensive. I wanted to do plantable paper, but my fiancé is "meh" about it. We don't want to do sweets, as we've too many diabetics, and I refuse to do soaps or the like, because of many people I know with skin allergies.
Now that I've got my headpiece narrowed down, I need to start thinking about my veil. Should I continue to try and sew one, or should I just buy one? Where can I get one that won't break the bank, is 1-tier, and that has crystals on it? Should I get white or ivory?
I had purchased some "jeweled" tulle at JoAnn for $3 and was going to make one, but I have some doubts about my sewing abilities, I've got about 5 months to go and I'm in school, and still have a bunch of other DIY stuff I wanted to do. I'm not sure I'll have time. I don't want to get one from the bridal shop, as their "clearance" ones are still $75! Ouch. My dress is an AA Bridesmaid dress in Ivory, but there's not much difference between the Ivory and the white. Help!
