I still do fan crafting, just not much HP lately. This latest bit is HP through devious routes.

Here's what I'm looking for: a pattern. Last year, I made the Stitch N' Bitch hat, Hot Head. I followed the k2p2 pattern, and wanted to make a rim so it would flip up in front. Once apon a time, I made my two best friends Ravenclaw scarves. After those two were done, I had some of the blue yarn left over and lots of this really pretty bronze I found too late for the scarves. Book Release comes an lo and behold, I created a tie pattern! Pics and pattern behind the cut.

I've been sitting on this for a bit to confirm one last aspect of it, which I was able to do today. I'd like to announce an exhibit/installation I'm doing for the Prophecy art gallery.

I'm planning 8 total in house colors, with no two being exactly the same. I'm waiting for the green and red yarns to come, so I'm going to be working on some other things until they do. But here are the ones I've finished so far.

( why I call them *incognito* hats )

I had an idea last night which led to making some Wizardly Incognito Hats, of which this is one. Heh, I'd forgotten how much fun these are to knit. I've got yarn in approximate house colors, so more will be happening.

It hasn't been blocked, so it's a bit lumpy as yet.

The wave? Is about 1/2 an inch too far down on the crown and subsequently looks bizarre. It is technically placed properly in the field of stockinette. This is actually a problem with the cuff, which reminds me to double check figures before I go and do something. I made the cuff 1/2 an inch too short.
