I watched The Devil Wears Prada last night for the first time in a couple years, and some of it reminded me a lot of the judge. The judge does not have Miranda/Anna Wintour's attitude, and his viewpoint is decidedly not slavishly followed by the entire country, but the clerks do jump to fill his every need. Yesterday I applied on a whim to extern for Judge Reinhardt of the 9th Circuit in Los Angeles; I just wrapped up an interview with one of his clerks and accepted an offer on the spot.
