Roadtrip - driver picks the music, shotgun tries not to kill him
There's nothing like spending two weekends in a car with your spouse driving through Iowa, aka a circle of hell decorated with cows & corns, to remind you that love & marriage are things you have to work at constantly. We're both still alive & speaking to each other so hey, Happy 23rd Anniversary to us!
Have I mentioned I really love hockey? Ask my spouse, he will tell you my love for hockey had me perfectly time our anniversary dinner Friday night in Madison to finish up just as the NHL draft started. And yep, really good wine made listening to the draft on the radio hilariously entertaining. We had a running over/under bet on how long it took the announcers to say "two-way player" on each draft pick. I won. Sucker's bet. Oh and hey, the Blackhawks drafted a kid that kind of looks like Draco Malfoy. Thanks for playing to my hockey recruiting needs Stan!
I'd like to complain about the quality of hockey fic these days, but let's be honest. I read so fast that at this point I just want any & all hockey fic - dubious pairing choices or lack of discernible plot be dammed. Though if you're looking for story ideas....I wouldn't say no & actually I would actively say YES HELL YES to all the Kaner/Sharpy fic! Or how about something about the Blackhawk's rookies - failing it up together. THEIR TWITTERS ARE GOLD MINES FOR STORY IDEAS FOLKS. Take up what they're throwing down & run with it! Or talk to me & I will fill your head with approximately a billion story ideas. Where are all the minions when you need them?
I've got a Goon vid three quarters done & I have decided that I absolutely without question cannot listen to it's vid song one more time without stabbing an ice pick in my ear. Whoops? Good job B. UGH. I just need to figure out a different song....VIDDING IS HARD. /whine
