In your own space, rec at least three fanworks that you think would make a good intro into XYZ fandom. Rec a fandom overview, a introductory picspam, stories that define and shape the fandom. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
If at all possible, try to pick a smaller or rarer fandom, one that maybe doesn't have the following you feel it should.
Okay, I'm going with Football (soccer) RPS here. I read a few pairings, and I particularly love rare pairs. Here's a few that I have bookmarked, so I imagine they would be a good introduction ;) I have recced one of them in a previous post, but I figure it's worth mentioning it again!
1. The District, Outtake 1: The Au Pair by dorkorific (this is the one I've recced before...)
Pairing: Xabi Alonso/Mats Hummels
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Political AU; Xabi meets the guy taking care of Stevie's kids.
2. The Flames of This Quick Love by yaoiwhore9
Pairing: Esteban Granero/Xabi Alonso
Rating: R/NC-17
Summary: AU Esteban Granero is a midfielder for the Tercera División team, Puerta Bonita. Due to fortuitous circumstances, they are drawn against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey, where Esteban meets Xabi Alonso who immediately takes a liking to him.
3. Los que son puros y de verdad by lenakpl (the fic is in English, it just has a Spanish title). Pairing: Sergio Ramos/Fernando Torres
Rating: PG
Summary: Sergio's reaction to Fernando not being called up for Spain in the game against Venezuela.
