Wow, loads happened this weekend. So Fri, I get out of class early to attend the WOTA conference (Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Association) and they were electing for student chair for WOTA. I was nominated. So, I made my little speech, we placed our votes and here I am! The new WSOTA chair. I am now the voice for all OT students of the state. Talk about a high. I hope to do my best and have it go the way it should. I want to make an impact and leave a mark to remember. I feel like this is the right step for me. I've known that I would make a significant difference in the world. I hope that this is the right path towards that diffference.
Sat, I visited my grandma, and that was pretty fun. I would like to get out there again, maybe meet with my mom and we three could go out for lunch or something... Ever have one of those incredibly embarassing moments? Y-know, where you've bared Waaay to much of yourself that you really didn't intend on showing? Yeah, I had a great one of those here. One of these days, I will get the flipping public-private thing figured out and then I can do it correctly... I know how to do it, but it seems to never fail that when I post something that I would think is private, it winds up public anyways. Grrrr. All is good tho, I just feel vulnerable, and yeah, I will turn a few shades of red. My man took me to Wallace and Gromit and it was a very good movie, if you're into Wallace and Gromit. Which I am, so it was awesome! Then, we got back to my home and carved pumpkins! Talk about good times. Really, we laughed and got into a minor punkin fight (mmmm, pumpkin guts). THe pumpkins turned out pretty good.I'm all proud of my scene on my pumpkin, and his skeleton pirate turned out really good too. We took some pics. I'll post soon. I'm beginning to get the hang of the digital camera/computer savvy stuff.
Overall, pretty good weekend. GUy really offended me on Sun, but I guess he feels the need to do that to feel better. Always had to. Thanks for letting me vent, it helped me to let it go and focus on the school thing that needed to get done. I finished my annotated bibliography and wound up in bed by 11 last night, so I feel good about that.
Sarah is coming over tonight and we're doing the Mary Kay thing, so that is fun. We're talking about a possible merging of living spaces in the next couple of months. We'll see what will be done. I need to bug John again soon and get the low-down from him on this house thing. Speaking of the house. We have a new roof now! It wound up being a red-brown roof. I was hoping for a chocolate brown, but it'll help me stay warmer this winter, so yaa for that. The red-brown really doesn't look THAT nice on the yellow brick house, but maybe it'll look different in the sunlight. They got the roof on just in time for a good amount of drizzle. The roof on the garage looks a little funky too. I dunno, I feel that it could've been better done. That's just me tho, and I don't really know that much about roofingto give a professional critique. This weekend, my list of things to get to includes winterizing my windows, among other things, but hopefully, the list will be decent, as will the time to complete everything. Fall break starts this Thurs. We got lucky for having it this semester. This Fri, Frightfest. Anyhoo, more on that later. Time to start running off to class. Til later then!
