Though it might appear otherwise, I'm neither MIA nor have dropped off the surface of the Earth. Just a bit caught up with RL and taking a bit of break from active Lj fandom.
But not from pondering over and ruminating on on-line communication and interactive fandom involvement altogether (what? I do that for a living, in case you're wondering).

Though this is, for the most part, my fannish journal and hardly anything fandom-unrelated makes it into the entries, I still felt like putting together a comprehensive fandom(s) statement alongside my fanfic list (in view of the latter having a clear knack to grow and multiply).

Some backstory first. BSG is on marathon re-run well into mid season 2 on local cable, so I manage to occasionally get my mom into this episode or the other. She's never watched any BSG prior to this, so it takes me explaining and expositioning extensively all the gaps she's missed most of the hour long.

Guess, I'm still either to work the bulk of the 'Sometimes A Great Notion' Lee Adama' Dee-induced angst out of my system or run out of inspirational Emily Dickinson poems (which officialy do exist in BSG-verse, so there). Can't argue this probably lands me amidst the realm of thoroughly obsessed. Maybe just a little bit. :)

Yay! From the overall looks of it I might as well figure the way out of the frustrating BSG-fic writer's block. Wonder if the news of my *real* (and oh so linguistic!) book being finally sent to print is instrumental to that? :)

Yet again, I'm not sure where this one came from. BSG angst just won't let me go.
