I find that "why?" is the question I ask most often when I see bad flags. "Why did you do that?" "Why does he have all these powers?" "Why did you feel the need to list seventeen theme songs?" And that's the case with these flags, too. A whole lot of "why?"

WHY )
The other day I was chortling about the idea of someone trying roleplay a "tauren" being allowed into Stormwind because "part of a neutral faction, guys!" Surely no one would be silly enough to try it?
Welp, that was fast.

And really, blood elves have been RPing in Silvermoon as "high elves" for AGES now, without even bothering with "neutral faction," just with an "I'm that special and I have this special commendation from the kingdom that proves you can't kill me on sight".

What I mean, sure I can understand one or two around there, but they'd be completely shunned and treated like they'd have the plague practically in a snobby belf manner.
Also with Helf I appreciate a huuuge background reserach before I deem that "kay I let you pass my radar of 'wtf'".

I can kind of see the argument, but as with the troll emissary, I imagine any tauren Cenarion emissaries would be confined to, say, the Park when it existed or to a very limited space. And knowing Varian Chynn's temper, I don't think he'd exactly be saying "sup bros, why don't you go for a drink at the Pig while you're here?"
(incidentally, she was in front of the Cathedral)

That's why whenever such a high elf character says they're willing to be an emissary to Silvermoon in particular, my character's like "Okay, first we'll try NOT politically slapping Silvermoon in the face."
So yeah, rant aside, the Cenarion Circle would have just sent a night elf.
