I always figured elves physically matured at the same rate as humans? How they are viewed in society at, say, 20-ish would be a different matter, of course. But physically he's hardly a toddler?

And the half-elves mother is plausible enough, no? The high elves and the humans were in contact long enough for that to be a perfectly viable mix.

Though, er, yes. No ill will to the Nac Mac Feegle, but you have a decent point there.

Maturing physically is up for debate. Blizz hasn't ever officially said one way or the other. One of the people I RP with plays her young daughter as a slowly aging/maturing elf. It could go either way though
