Today I drove 60 miles to take a drug test in Auburn, NY. I'm doing an internship for J.P. Morgan this summer (assuming I pass the drug test and background check). On the way back I decided to take US-20 instead of the Thruway and I saw this sign that said like "Welcome to Aurelius -- Zoning Laws Enforced." And I was like, man they really need to get a new town slogan. But I saw a couple other towns that had similar signs. And I'm kind of wondering what the point of them is. Are they trying to prevent like a developer drive-by? Like some guy was like, "Oh I was going to just put a bunch of houses on lots that were under the minimum size with no permit, but now I see the sign."?
