With 2009 coming to an end and 2010 right around the corner, it's time to consider an interesting topic. Will people switch from the pronounciation convention of "two thousand x" to "twenty x"? I feel like there are some people that will switch over right away, while some people will still say two thousand ten, but eventually switch over to two thousand ten. I will probably fall into that second group. For example, right now I say my year of graduation as two thousand eleven. The real interesting this why people aren't already saying "twenty oh nine" -- it's the same number of syllables as "two thousand nine". Probably just residual excitement from the "YEAR TWO THOUSAND".
