I dreamed that my mother had mysteriously come upon a Takarazuka video tape and was showing it to me. The title was Thumbelina. (Never mind that a fairy tale like that would never work as a 'Zuka show.) At first there was a kind of prologue projected on a screen showing a woman's hands making a little bed in a nutshell or whatever. Then there was an opening credits section where I squinted very hard trying to recognize names, but they went by too fast or something. Anyway, when it said "2002 Soragumi kouen" I kind of stared and pointed at the TV and said there was no way there could have been a Sora show like this in 2002 that I didn't know about. ^^;;;
Especially when my baby turned out to be Thumbelina.
She had a long, red wig, kind of an unnatural red but I loved it anyway. She also wore a black dress and wings (more like angel wings than fairy wings, although they were also red), and she had this neat little solo dance while everyone else was milling about on other parts of the stage. The theater itself looked more like Bow Hall than the Grand Theater, although there was extra room between the edge of the stage and the audience seats where another, slightly lower platform had been set up. That's where Arisu was dancing. <3
Despite being called a Soragumi performance there was no sign of Wao or Hana (obviously this would have been a problem with a ken-1 as the musumeyaku lead), or Mizu who would have been nibante at the time. (She showed up later, though.) This is where it starts to get weird, though. There were, as random (or not-so-random?) members of the cast, Kiriyan... and Tom in a dress. Tom in a big poofy pink dress and a curly blonde wig. (Again I can hear my voice as I watched this, "omg it's Tom, it's Tom!" and a part of my brain wondering what my mother would think of such a nickname for a 'sienne. XD;;)
Come to think of it, with my baby in the title role, I guess whoever was the fairy prince in this production was totally unimportant in my mind. ^^;; I was more focused on scanning the crowds for Soragumi-sei I liked, and I think I saw Yume Daiki and Ayahana Chika.
Then all at once I had been magically transported into the theater itself, and the audience was standing up and crowding around the stage and I don't know exactly how it happened, but I found myself on the lower platform holding hands with the aforementioned Chika, who was holding hands with Arisu, and there were two other girls in this little dance line and they were all in white dresses. (I don't know what I was wearing. ^^;;) And I was too shocked for my brain to even compute that I was so close to my angel and then the line broke apart and they all ran off somewhere except I discovered I was still holding hands with Ayahana Chika. And I turned to her and held both of her hands with both of mine and told her I knew it was only 2002, but she was going to retire in 2005 and if there was any way in this crazy dream that I could change the future, I would ask her to please stay in Soragumi longer.
Then the audience calmed down and went back to sit in their seats and I walked rather far back up the aisle to take my place and there was Mizu in the chair next to me. Wearing a priest outfit.
The end. XDD;;;
