LJ! HELLO! THINGS!
1. Last weekend theoret and I went to London's MCM Expo which was fantastic fun of an incredibly expensive variety. Neither of us were particularly interested in any of the guests attending (though we somehow ended up attending the Continuum panel twice and oh my goodness there are some adorable people on that cast. Tentatively interested in watching it now just because of adorable people) but THE PEOPLE WATCHING. OH THE PEOPLE WATCHING.
GOD I AM SO JEALOUS OF PEOPLE WITH COSPLAY SKILLS. So obviously Theo and I now planning on going to the May expo and obviously we are planning our costumes already. If we start now, maybe we will have learnt how to sew by then?!
Also whilst we were there I made the best decision I will probably ever make, aka buying this Captain America cushion.
2. Sam and Dean Winchester are both just pissing me off. Like, to the extent that last week's episode was PERFECT FOR ME because it barely even had any Winchesters in for me to be angry at. This week's episode, not so much. GDIT WINCHESTERS. I am finding myself in a strange new world where I hate both their plotlines. Whether it was Dean and Benny's stupid pirate vampire adventure or Sam staring nostalgically at every mechanical appliance in the motel, I was EQUALLY throwing my head back and roaring like a wookie in boredom and despair. I HATE YOU, BENNY! I HATE YOU, STUPID GLOWY SAM FLASHBACK LIGHTING!
But I did really enjoy the moment where Sam was getting all ready to kill a vampire (RIP HIS HEAD OFF SAM GO ON BENNY WON'T MIND) and then Dean shook his head and Sam did! not! kill a vampire. And that was the only moment in the episode I even really paid any attention to, so you go, moment.
Also I hate Benny's stupid hat jesus christ.
3. ARROW GOD I LOVE ARROW SO MUCH HELP ME HELP ME I CAN'T HANDLE IT I KNOW IT'S DUMB AND THE VOICE OVER IS HILARRIBLE BUT IT HITS SO MANY OF MY NARRATIVE KINKS SO MANY SOB OLLIE SOB DIGG SOB I SHIP IT SO HARD
4. Yesterday at work I was completely in charge of the shop for the whole day, for the first time ever. I was so nervous/excited/scared of something dreadful happening which I wasn't equipped to deal with/power trippy, but jfc apparently all the book collectors were on half term last week or something? NOBODY. BOUGHT. ANYTHING. The phone rang three times the whole day and two of them were people looking to sell and one of them was a policeman looking for a stolen Bible.
I had been so looking forward to being a lean, mean, rare book selling machine. But I guess it was infinitely preferable to the something dreadful happening which I couldn't deal with option.
